Ms. Danita Patram earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Optometry from the University of Guyana. She began her professional journey in 2018; she completed her clinical internship and became a Registered Optometrist in 2019. She currently practices at Mings Optical, delivering compassionate and comprehensive eye care to a wide range of patients.

With a strong passion for advancing eye health, Danita has pursued training in diabetic retinopathy screening and is particularly focused on bridging the gap between general healthcare and vision care. She takes a special interest in community-based eye care initiatives and patients managing chronic conditions such as diabetes.

Looking ahead, Danita is keen on contributing to the development of Public Health Optometry in Guyana. She is also exploring opportunities for graduate studies to expand her knowledge and impact within the Public Health field.
